In my Youtube addiction to all things motorcycle over the last year I've seen a few of these videos. I've also even become Facebook friends with some of the riders because of their other YT motovlogs. It definitely attracts the wheelie crowd and the "F the Police" crowd.
The Event: Ride of the Century, takes place around labor day weekend every year since the early 2000s. It was originally organized by a local group of stunters. Then has grown each year till 2011 when it blew up and they estimated 2,500 bikers there. I think in 2013 I saw they estimated close to 4,000 bikers/stunters there. Massive motorcycle ride prompts second thoughts by police : News
In 2013 the ROC was the most regulated. Including running license, registration and insurance of riders before they were let out on the road. Impounding bikes without probably cause. Worst of all there were 2 fatalities. Both involved situations were motorcyclist struck cars, one of which was an unmarked police car that may or may not have used their care to attempt to slow/stop the motorcyclist. I doubt we will ever see the actual truth on this considering it could be taken as vehicular homicide.

I personally like this video because it shows the nicer side of the ride. You have two young brothers out for a spectacle
