So I am loading for a move to OH from NC. Time to go recruit new Marines! I will be moving back into a house I already own and love and working in an area that I love too (Canton office). This is all good. Now for the ugly! Imagine a 38yr old mechanic type guy with a family of five and loading all that up. I know I am over my weight limit already, but as I am moving it myself it isn't an issue.

First, is my truck and trailer. I managed to get four bikes across!

Now for a riding mower, pressure washer, compressor, bike jack, generator, and a 5th bike. That is the trailer. Then my guns, bows, tools, and a thousand other things we won't be able to fit in the U-haul. I figure it will be a 4-5k pound load.

Then I get to load a 26' truck and a 12x6 trailer and load them up too! Yeah! For right now though the bikes are a start.
 
Whoa! That's quite a haul! I'd like to see some detailed shots of how you tied those all off. First, congrats on going back "home" and I hope it's a safe and uneventful trip!

Here you go. Note that I have a rubber strip (look close and you can see it) on the inside of the rail. Theses were after a generator was added to the tongue. All in all in is a pretty tongue heavy load. I am adding a good bit of weight to the back as well to even it out.

I get paid based on how much weight I move up to my limit. To ensure I make that limit, which shouldn't be a problem, I am also filling all the tanks with gas to include all the power equipment, and three gas cans. I am even keeping the media in my tumbler and the sand in my blasting kit. This is actually going to be half of my limit (11,000#) right here on the truck/trailer.
 
Here are a couple a bit further along. My truck is pretty much loaded making room in the garage for the things going in the U-Haul.
