gold wheels/black wheels . bearing question

im getting my gold wheels powder coated black. i need to strip the rims down to the bare..
will i be able to reuse the bearings after knocking them out or will i need new ones?

I would replace them, You already have them out, So you are half way to replacing them. They are not built to take any kind of load other than radial. Any side load at all will damage them to some degree.

When the time comes to replace my tires I was planning on doing the same. Not a huge fan of the gold rims. Take pictures on the bike and post them when they are done. Interested to see how it will look.

Cheap insurance to replace them and know where you stand. Get OEM or All Ballz if you can find them.

The bearing were designed to be pressed in. They can be pressed in and out...

Gee, I have black wheels on my '07 and would rather have gold wheels I know that greenish gold color is a bit weird.

When I replaced the rear tyre on my 08 FZ1s I noticed the inside bearing under the sprocket is a needle roller one,I was concerned about losing needles so made sure the spacer was in during the change.
