Fz1 / fz8 exhaust hanger ?............

Can anyone definitely confirm one way or another if the aftermarket exhaust hangers ( such as evotech, valter moto, etc ) are the same for a 2009 FZ1 and an FZ8 ?

I even asked the dealers selling them and they dont know ( ? ), best I could do is check the stock pass. peg mounts from yamaha and the actual stock brackets are a lil different looking, so a diff part #, but the mounting holes face the same direction etc so I guess its possible they swap, but want to make sure before I buy.

They may swap from a mounting standpoint but whether the muffler attachment point will line up is not known. I suspect they won't, they are completely different mufflers with different dimensions. I would be amazed if they lined up perfectly at the muffler mounting point.

I was just thinking about that, - even if it bolts to the subframe, it could be a diff. offset, or diff. length etc etc .............thanks for the reply.

I got an Evotech hanger for my FZ1 recently, here is the part number

Yamaha FZ1S Exhaust Hanger | Motorcycle Parts | Yamaha Bike Spares

They don't list any exhaust hanger for the FZ8, so I suspect they're not interchangeable.
