I came across the following discussion while troubleshooting the charging system on another vehicle. It gives a pretty good explanaton of how the system works and how to go about finding faults in the system. I know a lot of members get totally stumped when the electric system, and especially the charging system gets out of whack and thought the following might be helpful in understanding how and why it works and how to sort out problems.
