Boy does that bring back memories................I bought one of those beautys brand new back in 1986 and it was absolute state of the art / cutting edge in its day. I cant believe that was already over 25 years ago!

Its not bad the ususal cracks in the fairing. Ill be doing alot of cleaning and tinkering. I am thinking about taking the front end off that 1991 GSXR750 I recently purchased and swapping everything over to give this one 17 inch wheels.

Not a bad idea...modern tires will do wonders for the bike I'm sure. That has the 16" front that was popular in the mid-80's?

Yea, just looked it up and you're correct...they are 18s.

Yes they were 18's and it limits you on tire choice, my 86 GSXR 1100 is clean and oem complete I didnt want to tear it up. I picked this one up to tinker with and change over a few things.
