Wheel aligment questions

I have some technical questions on wheel alignment. I have recently put some new tires on and installed them on myself. I thought that I had the rear tire straight, but now Im questioning my work.

I have a throttle lock. If i lock it at say 30 mph and let go of the handle bars the bike pulls to the right. Is this normal? It tells me that my rear tire is angled slightly to the left.

How do I get this straight? Are my suspicions correct? Thanks for any technical help.

you can't go by the direction the bike "pulls" ... roads are crowned away from center, so you'll always drift right, and always wear the left side of the tire slightly more than the right.

I used the string method from Motorcyclist magazine.

It worked perfectly after I had the same problem after changing tires on my Z750s. Just remember to re-center the strings on the rear tire after each adjustment before re-checking the front tire.
