What kind of wax to use on plastics that are painted (rear fender, front fairing)

looking to take my fz to the wash this week, and wax it up using regular car wax on the tank but not sure what to use on the painted plastics. Trying to see what you guys use. 'Thanks!

hi i use muc--off miracle shine on everything
mudguard--tank--body panels--swinging arm
goes on nice comes of nice no powdery dust

Either plain old wax, or I'll use Plexus on plastic painted parts, windscreens, etc.

Mr Sheen furniture polish. I've been using it on my bikes for years.
I also use it instead of water if I haven't been riding in rain.
It works a treat on all the hard parts, it even removes grease etc.

I use Mothers wax and never had a problem with them and the shine has always looked great. Really any wax will work just stay away from the polishes that have an abrasive in them which can scratch the plastic. Mothers® California Gold® Products

Thanks for the replies guys. I wasn't sure whether it would be nearly impossible to get the wax off the plastic. We'll see how this goes!

Either plain old wax, or I'll use Plexus on plastic painted parts, windscreens, etc.

Another vote for Plexus, I use it on everything. Great to get the bugs off your helmet visor too.

I often use Lemon Pledge for quick touch-ups on the plastics, both painted and not. Plexus is excellent for those surfaces as well but it recently skyrocketed in price so I use it strictly for my helmet visors now

I like using Turtle Wax Ice-Wax. Goes on easy comes off easy and shines real bright.

X2 Use nothing but pledge on bike and snowmobile and both still look new!
