what exactly does this do????

ok, so on the clutch side there is this which is obviously a switch but what does it do and what is supposed to move the plunger?

The clutch lever itself contacts the switch and all electronic bikes have them. It tells the ECU that the clutch is engaged / disengaged.

i got asv levers on and nothing actually touches the plunger. think im missing a part aw crap, gotta go dig out the box now

ok so i got the part and put it on the lever. the thing is the bike seemed fine without it on. its been off for the past 5 months or so. so now it makes me wonder wtf you knwo

That's a good question which I would like to know what it does.

That switch is there to prevent you from starting the bike in gear without the clutch lever being pulled.

AHA! That's it. I thought it was an in-gear safety but wasn't sure.
