Speedo help...

I just discovered the digital speedo on my 02. I've only had the bike for a week.
Anyway, when I was just using the analog speedo it seemed really off. Now, using the digital, I'm reading 106 mph and the analog is showing around 85. I know I'm going alot faster than 85 but what I don't know is how off the digital speedo is. I'm assuming 10%. Is it common to have such a difference between the two?

It has a whole menu of functions... but I haven't played with it much yet... Even displays your max speed when you come to a stop!
 
I would imagine that they are both getting the reading from the same speed sensor so unless the digital one already has some sort of correction factor built into it (I doubt it) there is no logical reason for the discrepancy. Since you didn't do the install of the digital one yourself it could be wired incorrectly :confused0024:
