Shock shimming

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to put some shims on the top or bottom mount of the rear shock in order to gain some ride height. I've installed an Ohlin shock, which is great by the way, but it is not ride height adjustable. On the race track, as a result, I end up dragging pegs--not good. I hesitate to install rear sets as I use the bike for touring as well as track days and don't want to compromise the ride comfort. I'm away from home for several weeks, working, so can't run out to the garage to check and have recently heard this could be a good solution for me, if the shock mount allows for it. Any input is very much appreciated.

Which Gen are you looking at? I or II? Gen I has two dogbones and the Gen II has one dogbone. Or, you can get a ride-height adjustable shock which would kill two birds!

If you are looking for quicker turn-in? Drop the triples on the forks about 10mm. What a difference THAT made. I'd suggest a steering stabilizer if you go this route.
