for the v-max? they don't make s20 so I guess you'll end up with "BT 20something" .. maybe BT020 .. a pretty old touring tire...

I would go with Dunlops d208 on the v-max, it's a sport tire made for choppers and other bike with weird wheels

While I would have liked to see the limits pushed more I can understand why they might have not wanted that. First they are not trying to sell a track tire so why treat it like one. Second because it os a touting tire they want to show it on wet, bumps, and slow winding turns. This would make people who do touting identify with it more.

I also feel the ride they did could have been with almost any tire with the same results. So really they did a cool commercial with out proving anything. (My 2 cents)

I pick up a set tomorrow for my FZ1-N, these tyres replace the BT-021 and BY-023, the tread pattern is different and they are supposed to last 7-8 000 miles. I'll post a report when I scrub em in.
