You know what they say.....When it rains, it pours. With weeks of quiet nothingness, I all of the sudden have two laptops and one desktop to troubleshoot and fix. I got the first laptop done and now I need to rest my eyes! Two more to go.
 
I gave serious consideration this year to ditching the PC and going for a MAC. Went to the iStore to have them show me the ropes.....and forgive my arrogance.....but I knew more about the product than the kid helping me.

almost 2k, then another chunk of change for some of the upgraded options...plus I'd be running alot of programs in the virtual platform......so, opted to stay with windows and get a brand new machine for under 550 -- will sink some $$$ for memory, but will transplant that to the next machine.

I'll use it till it drops, then look at what is available to replace at that time....
 
Saw on this evening news some guy- in ca I think, selling a "custom" pc w/interchangeable drives- to work with pc mac or linux for cheap prices.
