Ok I can't wait!

My new tire is in the freaking mail, it's gorgeous here and I just can’t wait to ride so I will repair the tire myself. Now, I do have a question for you guys. Why is it that I read everywhere “plug/patch” Is it a plug and a patch that I should perform? Should I remove the tire, plug it like one would a car tire, trim the excess from the inside and out and then apply a patch from the inside? Thank you in advance.

Here is a plug/patch its pulled through from the inside of the tire and works better then a regular plug. Only had one failure out of the thousands of these I put in tires while I was a mechanic.

If you plan on doing this yourself make sure you get the contact cement and valcanizing rubber to get the best seal possible.

You shouldn't need the split eye tool. If you have a pair of pliers use those to pull the patch through, good stuff to have around thats for sure.
