New York Ride Sunday June 28th

Just thought I'd pass along some info on tomorrow's ride. Bikers for Babies led by chairperson Dee Snyder (Twisted Sister Fame), will be having a charity ride for the March of Dimes tomorrow. The starting point is TGI Fridays 240 White Plains Road, Tarrytown, NY. The finish is at 29 Gagan Road, West Haverstraw,NY. Sign in time is 10:00am sharp and kickstands go up at 11:00am. The rider's fee is $25.00 dollars and $10.00 dollars for a passenger. The ride will be up to Bear Mountain and down to a county park in West Haverstraw where there will be a BBQ and concert starring Dee himself. ETA to the park is about 12:30pm. It should be a blast and all for a worthwhile cause. All riders are welcome. I'll post some pics and videos when I get home.

Thanks for posting this. Weather should be good tomorrow for that run. Unfortunately I can't make it, but be safe and have fun.

Thanks Bud, I haven't been on one of these in a long while. It should be a good time. Early enough that it won't rain. They say there may be a shower or two in the late afternoon. I'll hopefully be home by then. I hope to get to meet Dee. My son met him and took some pics with him at the NY Motorcycle Show back in January.

Well I'm back from todays charity ride and what a ride it was! I haven't been on one of these for quite a while. It was simply amazing! My last group ride probably had 100 or so bikes. This ride had probably close to 5 or 6 hundred. Dee Snyder had arrived at about 10:30am rather quietly. My friend Sal actually noticed him before anyone else so we grabbed the cameras and ran over to get some shots. Nobody had any idea that he was there. We took some pictures, shook hands, and were out of there before the crowd started gather. He promised that he would be around to shoot the breeze all day and would sign anything and take pictures. That was the truth as we bumped into him at least 6 or 7 times throughout the day. It was a nice ride, which actually was the exact route that I take to the mountain, so I was familiar with it. The line of bikes, two abreast, staggered, was literally more than a mile long! Police escorted us the entire route and closed every on-ramp and intersection, making it a non-stop event. The food line at the finish point was longer than any line I've have ever seen, so I am glad that I brought some goodies with me. We stayed for about another hour and a half until my buddy had to go. He had a previous engagement which I was aware of, so we headed home. It was a great time and I would not hesitate to do it again next time. Here are some pics of the day's events. Enjoy!............

No, I actually didn't. A friend of mine let me use his Sony DSC-W90 camera for today. It takes 8.1 megapixel photos and HD Video. Last night I wanted to have the battery fresh so I plugged it in to charge. Once topped off, I installed it and now the camera is saying that the battery is not compatible with the camera. So I guess it crapped out on me, having me now to buy him a new battery. Lucky me. So I tried to use the GoPro but the video came out crappy. No sound because I had the mic set to low. Plus the wide angle lens needs to be close to whatever it is that your filming. I'll post the only one of Dee, but the sound is very low.

Sounds like a good time..I love the shot of you and Dee...especially the "biker dude" in the back with the double latte on ice from Starbucks!!! Bet he rides on the back of his wife bike.:poke:

can't make out the one below the black/yellow r6 -- "tesi 3d or 30"? (read the caption -- might be babyfaced, but need :nerd:)

either way it looks expensive....

upon further investigation..."Tesi 3d" from Bimota with a baseline price of 36k -- limited availibility here in the US (29 in '07)

either way, if you got a anymore shots from this weekend's ride, you have you submissions for August BOM. Love the Raven R1 -- and that black FZ doesn't look bad either!

Thanks for the clarification -- took me some time to even find outdated pricing, but as one of the articles said, "if you have to ask, then you probably won't be able to afford...."

Guess that means that it was out of my league from the get....
