New tires

Soon getting new tires, is there any negative feedback on using a rear 190 instead of a 180.. Gen 1

I know a couple of people that went with 190s and hated it. I don't know anyone that did it and liked it. They say the turn-in is brutally slow.

They probably got 190/50's. The 190 will give you a larger contact patch, but if you don't get the right height, turnin will suffer a LOT.

Is your concern a bigger contact patch? Or just a good deal on a 190 tyre?

I have a Gen 2, and I made the switch from a 190/50 to 190/55. I love it, see no possible downsides, and I'll never go back.

Bit different than going from a 180 to 190 though.

I second this, with the added note that I went from a 180/50. Takes some getting used to, especially in wet conditions.
