Mobil Delvac Synthetic 15w40

Anybody use this stuff? I read a lot about FZ1 riders using the Rotella 15w40, so I went to Walmart looking for some. I found this Mobil equivalent on sale for $19.97 per gallon. If I get a few thumbs up from you guys I'm gonna go buy a few more jugs while it's on sale.

I use the Rotella 5w-40 consistently, but have never used a 15 weight oil. Interested to hear how you like it if you use it!

Rotella T6 is used by many because it has the JASO MA/MA2 rating. It does not look like Mobil Delvac has this rating.

Good eye! I noticed yesterday that the Mobil was priced significantly less than the Rotella and wonder if that is why?

Who knows but it's unfortunate it is not since it is a good price!

Thanks for the replies guys. Looks like I'll dump the Delvac this weekend and fill with the Maxima Pro Plus that I bought before I saw the Delvac at Walmart. I only put 30 miles on the Delvac, and it shifted fine, but without that JASO rating its gotta go.

Oh I'll get more use out of it. I have a Dodge Ram that drinks a quart every 1000 miles. It'll drink used Delvac for a while!

I used to run the Rotella 5-40 all the time. Worked well. Then I switched to pure motorcycle specific oil and noticed a huge difference in transmission performance. Especially when in neutral and you go to put it in first gear. You don't get the clunk. She only takes three quarts so throw some coin at her.
