Isle of Man TT

Hi all, can I pick your brains here? The famous Isle of Man TT races are taking place every year since 1907, but on two years it was cancelled.
Once due to WWII, and a second due to....? and here I'm stuck.

Was it cancelled due to
1. earthquake
2. severe stormweather
3. Spanish Flu
4. Mouth and foot disease (livestock)

reason for asking is to participate a local quiz

Foot and Mouth Disease in 2001 cancelled the race.

It was also cancelled for much more than two years. It was actually not run for the durations of both WW1 and WWII. Thats about 8 or 9 years right there. Then add in 2001 and you have almost 10 years total.

that I did find back on Wikipedia, but could not find anything back related to the Foot&Mouth disease. Thanks!
