I inverted the throttle cable housing. Is this okay?

I recently completed the R1 forks/brake/MC swap and one snag I ran into was that the throttle cable housing was interfering with my ability to rotate the brake lever downward at an angle I liked. The banjo-bolt on the MC would hit up against the throttle housing. Then I saw a pic of a bike that had inverted the location of their throttle cable housing, and thought I would try that, and it appears to work fine. It frees up space underneath so that I'm able to rotate my brake lever housing the way I like it. Because I'm just a Youtube mechanic, thought I would ask the group here if there is any issue / problem with doing this?
