I have done that to mine. Also fitted flush mounted indicators on the side. All LED.
At the rear I have integrated tail/brake/indicator and to keep it legal, I also have smaller extra indicators. Again, all LED. Local laws stipulate that rear indicators need to be at least the width of the license plate apart. The extras just help it stand out more when something is approaching from the rear.

Oh very nice sir. Where did you find that integrated tail light? Did you have to mod the rear fairing to fit that? Or does it sit below it

There are several different brands of integrated taillights available for the FZ. Search for details either on here, google or eBay.
As far as fitting, the only modifications are to splice in the new wiring,

I bought this one after I had two of the cheaper clear alternative brand crap out on me. You don't have to cut your brake/running light connector off, plugs right in.
