2008 FZ1 with '07 R1 Forks and FZ1N-style Headlight
As part of my winter maintenance, I installed a new motion pro throttle cable as I noticed I was basically at the end of the original cable's adjustment. However, the new cable is exactly the same - the adjusting nut is basically hanging on by a few threads and I'm still barely on the loose end of tolerance for throttle grip play.
I have studied the routing diagram in the manual and I am sure everything is correct. Is it possible that the '07 forks are short enough compared to OEM forks to make the throttle cable just slightly too long? From what I can tell the FZ1S routing would be basically the same, but I'm not totally sure whether the Fz1N headlight bracket setup changes the routing distance a little...
