Yup, more folks on the other board, and it's been around much longer.

Forums ebb and flow. Remember then SBN was the FZ6 place Crazy? Now it is all but dead.

If I really need to sell something I use Ebay, followed by Craigslist. Forums can be good, but with E or C I know it will be gone, especially with E.

I remember SBN - it was/is the definitive source for all FZ6 mods, issues, fixes. FZ6-forum has come a long way since. Hopefully we can make this place as good as the OA. But both FZ1OA and SBN had 1/2-assed idiots, moderators and trolls which we could do without.

Yup, it takes time. I think the trick is taking the high road and keep working at it.

With the Buell it's the same, there are a few dudes (stupid ones) who rule the roost at the "big board", and make for a miserable time for all. There is German term for taking pleasure in other's suffering... Mean while several other Buell boards have popped up and are growing little by little, and are great/fun place to be.

Group buys are difficult to do too when the cost is over $100. There is currently a guy on the fZ6 side trying to do one for Magura Hydraulic clutch kits, they look really cool, but I think he'll have a difficult go at it. I tired to do the Acculign top clamp for the 6, got close but I was 4 orders short of a sale.

Sorry but I just was not interested in a CF cowl. It does not fit the look I want to achieve and I already know that a paint job is coming in the next couple years. It would be a shame to paint a CF cowl....

As for group buys, well, a lot of people have available funds but never at the same time. They are tough to get people to buy in as it is. We have mortgages, bills, current projects, savings, holidays, etc.... Not everyone can drop a couple hundred simply because an opportunity came up. While I'd love to get in on some of these, I don't have the cash when they come up. Best time for me is to plan in late Feb when I know my tax refund and bonus will be in before April 1st. Outside of that, I don't buy big ticket items unless it is for my family.

This forum is still in its infancy but it is a quality board with quality members and the best in management. Please don't put it down for lack or participation in group buys. The target audience is still very small here.

Dremeled the mid-piece a couple of mm since it is awefully close to the headers - less than a mm maybe. See the dremelled results:
