Gen 2 FZ1 - Gear Indicator

True. It seems almost anything is possible. That will probably have to wait until tomorrow. This has turned out to be a long project.

have you put it on the stand and tried running it in second gear or something to get the rear wheel moving faster than like 2-3mph?
I have put it on the center stand and run it in 1st only. Rev'd it to only around 4k rpm's, so not too fast. Google told me to disconnect the battery for 20-30 minutes to reset the gauge, so I'm doing that right now. It's actually been disconnected a couple of hours since I haven't had a chance to go back to it yet. I'm hoping that solves the problem. If not, I will try running it a bit faster in 2nd.

Disconnecting the battery for a while seems to have worked! I reconnected the battery, turned the key on, and spun the rear wheel. Nothing. Then I started it and put it in 1st gear, let the clutch out and the speedo started working! Yay! Now I have to add the SpeedoHealer back in and then the gear indicator. Hopefully this time it all works together and nothing falls apart. Hoping to have time this afternoon to do it, but it may have to wait until tomorrow. I'm just happy to be making progress again.

Sell the motorcycle before you completely ruin it.

nice job, yeah sounded like the wheel just wasnt spinning fast enough or you turning it on and off again fixed it.

So, I finally finished it up a few days ago, and it works great! I ended up soldering the power wire and the wire that goes to the crank sensor to make sure the connections were good. I'm glad it's back together and I'm able to ride again. And the gear indicator is a nice addition to the bike. :)
