Ever get irritated with the latch on your 2006? I did too, so I bought the improved mechanism Yamaha used on 2007-2014 models but didn't install it before deciding to sell the bike.

The new part sells for $40+. Buy my used (from a 2007 and tested for good functionality) for $22 shipped. Doesn't come with nuts but ones from your existing latch will work.
