Father's Day Ride

Me and Richie woke up early to go on our first annual Father's Day Ride together. The skies were iffy so we waited until things cleared up and headed out at 11:00am. We headed up North to O.C.C. and surrounding area. We were surprised when we arrived to find that they were having a big car show on the premises. Bonus! I'm always up for a car show. We also found out that Paul Jr. now has his own shop and will be back on TV in August competing against his father so we passed by his shop as well. We had a great time, logged in almost 140 miles, and missed all the thunderstorms! You can't ask for more than that. Here are the pictures and videos from todays ride. Hopefully this will be the first of many Father's Day Rides we take together.

We stopped first at the new Sonics to eat. The food was good and the service fantastic.

We next headed north to Orange County Choppers and the car show...

They will be back on in August of this year. I hope they go back to the original format of just building bikes.

We even got to go through the actual shop for the first time since we've been going. I guess they really want to get their fans back.

After OCC we headed west to Jr's shop. Although it was closed, we took a couple of pics and a video clip. I will have to go up on Wednesday to see if they let me in.

We had a great time as usual. I hope all the other Fathers had a great day too!

Looks like you and Richie had a great time. I took my kids up to Bear Mt and saw lots of bikes along the way and at the top. Maybe next weekend I'll have some time to ride.

Oh wow! What time were you up there? I was gonna stop at Perkins but changed my mind at the last minute and headed North instead. Next week I am doing the Biker's For Babies Charity Ride again. I did it last year and had a great time. It starts in Tarrytown and ends just South of Bear Mountain in West Haverstraw. It leaves at 11:00am in case anyone is interested. This is only if my buddy Sal attends. If not I don't want to ride by myself, I'll skip it and head to Greenwood Lake. Maybe that route you told me about.

I was up there from about 10:30 AM to close to noon. Lots of bikes at the top, but boy was it hot!

Now that the bridge at Rt 106 is open again it's a nice ride up to Greenwood Lake from Seven Lakes Drive.
