Enjoying the Fazer8.

Went for an excellent ride on one of the nicest days yet to the Cape Shore, Newfoundland.
Total distance 328 Km, 14.2 L of fuel burned equaling 65.2 mpg(imp) or 54.3 mpg(US) or 4.3 L/100 Km.
The clocks show a little less than 1500 Km and the engine is breaking in nicely.
The engine will pull cleanly from 2000 rpm (50 kph) in 6th gear and seems to have a nice spread of low and mid rpm torque with a big rush when you get to 6500 rpm.
On a side note the Fazer8 (FZ8) uses a 525 chain and 16 tooth front sprocket.

can't wait untill I get one of these fort a testride. The motorpress is al positive 'bout it here...yes some minor remarks and not so well priced compared to other bikes/brands in this range....BUT it carries a triple tunefork :tup:

love the blackcoated engine...hate the black stovepipe (=exhaust)

I wish they'da had that bike in the US 4 years ago! I'm fully consumed by my GEN 1 now but that is what I wanted when I bought my 05 in 07.

I took a FZ8N for a test ride a few weeks back and they go pretty good once you give them a good rev. Enjoy your bike :tup:

I just noticed that my Fazer8 does not have the EXUP valve on the exaust. Still has the AIS junk though.
