Can plugs be replaced without gas tank removal??

I think my plugs need replacing. Don't have owners or service manual yet. Can the plugs be replaced without having to remove the gas tank? Any tips/hints I need to know about before I start? Thanks again for all the help!!

On the GEN II, you can, and I'm almost sure the GEN I is the same. To make it easier, some people unbolt the radiator and drop it down out of the way without draining it (don't disco the hoses) and if you still have the AIS, you can get around them but this is also a good time to remove and plug all of that, then the plugs are really easy to get to.

I just did my plugs this past Wednesday for the first time. The tool that comes in the kit, for me, is the easiest way to do it if your not lifting the tank. Like Eric said, if you go with removing the AIS system, it will make things a hell of alot easier. If you don't want to remove it I would say as Eric did. Just drop the radiator down a bit and you should have no problems.
