So, I dove into a valve check on my ’08. Adjusted 6 exhaust shims and went to put things back together. Being an idiot and not following instructions, I turned the crank without the cam chain tensioner in place and the chain jumped on the sprockets.
I don’t want to face reality but I believe I’m off one tooth on the intake cam. As you can see, the exhaust cam is dead center but the intake is off a bit from the arrow on the cap. Am I right that I need to get one tooth over?
What is the easiest process to get everything lined up properly?
Thanks for any help you can give me.
