Backing it in?????

1. Hard on the front brakes to unload the rear wheel
2. Down through the gears to get it to start to lock
3. Clutch and the rear brake to control the rear wheel speed.
4. Sideways: lean left or right to control the bike.

5. To come out of it, let up on the front brake and the bike will come into line as the rear picks up traction.

Alright, so I've been inadvertently doing this for a couple months now. Coming in a little hot to a turn (usually left turns at lights, :nothing:). I down shift hard, the rear kicks out a little bit. When I was doing it early I would just let up on the front, let the revs match up a little better and straighten out, then make the turn. Then as I got more familiar with it I would do it closer to the turn and kind of ease out of the slide into the turn. I really wasn't trying to do this, I just thought it was my weight on the front springs that don't do a good job for me, and the rear comes up easy and I slide it all the time.

Thanks for the vid post Dustin because I didn't even think about a high side being the result of screwing up. The whole thing felt natural to me because I rode BMX bike as a kid and I mountain bike now so I really wasn't thinking about what could go wrong.
