My 2009 fz 1000 has issues. Over the winter my bike sat for a while with the gas cap not sealed and unbeknownst to me rainwater leaked into my tank and I started it to move it, it fired up then died. Hasn’t started since. I have pulled the tank cleaned and refueled with premium (no rain water), gotten everything back together and it seems like I’m getting no spark. That was not an issue when I parked it. Can anyone offer tiny insight into how or why water in the tank could lead to having no spark?
