2005 Yamaha FZ1

I have a 2005 Yamaha FZ1. It will start and run for about 20 to 30 sec and die. The fuel pump feels like it is working. It comeS on for about a sec when I turn the key on. I can take the fuel line off the fuel filter and run it straight into the carb and the bike will run fine. Could this problem be caused by a sensor like the tip over sensor or the crank sensor. Any help I can would be great.

You may then have a blockage in the fuel filter. You may have troubleshooted your own problem. Pick up a new filter and see what happens. Worse case scenario, you could probably use a new one by now anyhow.
