    what does "adjusting the exhaust gas volume" do?

    Just reading thru my workshop manual for my 2008 Genll and i noted that section called "adjusting the exhaust gas volume" Does anyone know what this is for and what it is supposed to achieve? It doesn't mention it in the service schedule but its tucked away after throttle cable adjustment and...
