    god i hate this shifter

easier said than done at times... i had a car pull out infront of me and had to do an emergency stop. the last thing i was thinking of was downshifting..... after yelling at the car driver, i noticed i couldn't get the bike into first... with traffic coming up quickly behind i was quite...

    god i hate this shifter

i'll try that... i've only had this problem on yamaha chain driven bikes to be honest. my old 03 honda shadow with 10k on it never has a problem going down in gears. i can always downshift at a stop without a problem. That double clutch problem seems to be normal in yamaha's too. I've...

    god i hate this shifter

I posted this on the other forum but i'm really beginning to hate my shifter. If i come to a light and forget to downshift, sometimes i can't get the bike in first gear. She'll stay in second. i have to either move the bike a couple of inches then try or rev... Sometimes when i'm in...

    My FCE install experience

ivan said that the butterflies open faster with the fce installed because it makes the ecu think to constantly supply fuel. he said that is why his dyno sheet shows improvements under the curve. as for as fuel cut, i don't know if my bike really had this problem. i have an 06 and everyone...

    My FCE install experience

same here... my buddy who has a phd in EE told me dropping a bead of solder to force the wire and connector to stick together is what they do. He also told me take sure there isn't any stress on the wires and make sure the solder was properly heat so the solder would be absorbed. sid

    My FCE install experience

took about 3 hrs to do it right. I used the crimp and dropped a bead of solder onto the crimp to ensure that the wire and the crimp were going to properly stay together. that crimper is truly trash. u're trying to work in tight spaces and getting that crimper on there is pita. Ivan probably...

    Pod Mod - Lights!

couple of things i would like to add. I'm just finishing up the install on my bike. You should keep a pair of tweezers handy. I drilled a pilot hole, then medium drill bit, then larger drill bit so when i started with the drill bit in your write up there wouldn't be any shavings in my head...

    My FCE install experience

Ordered last week got it today. The kit comes with almost everything you need including a set of crimpers. My dad is an electrician for the Navy for 28 yrs so i was born with a pair of crimpers and solder iron. The crimpers that came with the kit IMHO is a POS and I would have rather saved...

    AIS Hose Block

i went to the store and bought 3 npt plugs. 2 1/2 inch and 1 3/8. I removed the ais and used the 1/2 npt plugs and plugged the hoses and then use a 3/8 to plug the airbox side. taped up the electrical connector to prevent moisture getting inside of it. total cost was 5 bucks and totally...

    AIS Hose Block

on the gen2 i notice the ais is also the crank case venting system. by plugging it up aren't we preventing crank case pressure from leaving the crank? and therefore increasing our chances of having blown crank and cam seals? i checked the hose going to the airbox and without the solenoid...
