The problem has been fixed it was some faulty wiring in the ignition that had the bike running crazy, Thanks to all for the responses.

2004 with 14,500 mi..

got a great deal on Fz1 and it was perfect for my new riding style, conservative but still fun.

all fuses are good, the starter is trying to turn it over but it just wont start. I need to check all of the electric connectors and see what happens next. why do you think all instruments light up but no readings?

Battery is working, lights come on but bike wont turn over, have a bit of an electrical problem; bike panels light up and turn off? Can someone please give me some advise besides the norm?

New to the FZ1 family; just purchased a 2004 that needs some sprucing up i would love to follow to see what miracle you done with your cleaning....
