Thinking about getting a stock gen 2 year 2013 ..I have a gen 1 and like the power...will i be disapointed with the stock gen 2 fz..i have read that it needs mods to release the power.....or should i buy a gen 2 with mods.. Thanks

Got the tip...but exhaust is still a bit noisy....fixed that, i fitted about four inches to the tip that fits inside the exhaust...the tip has a slight taper so i was able to tap the metal peice on with no problem...what did i use....old garden umbrella pole...light alloy... perfect....quiet...

Local Nappa store has the 1/4 inch vac caps, use the small clamps form the stock hose....1/8th caps for the two at the carbs...Did mine today..10 minutes

Coolant hoses to the carbs is for heating up the carbs/fuel for colder climates, better running engine, but not needed for hot climates...

I got the same year/color...with all the owner records, you should be fine....take cash with you and offer between $2500 and asking price..remember taxes and dmv fees/dealer fees extra..great bike ..dealer would have paid last owner low price on trade in.

I had them shorty levers on my R1 they work great on the track...now have a gen 1 bought it with them levers, from cycle gear, put the stock back on, not good for touring bike FZ1

Thanks guys....taking a close look at the fork tube I see some very fine scoring. So I tried to polish it out. I pulled the dust seal and looked at the fork seal with light, looks ok, i think I am going to need the tubes dam, or find used forks. Road test, still seeping.
