Yamaha windscreen Never heard of that problem before....it is genuine Yamaha part...like the standard one. I doubt they would sell a windshield that melted instruments.

Does anyone have a damaged Gen 2 (2008) drivers seat that the vinyl is cut or torn that I can pick up cheap? The base and padding need to be in good shape. If you have one please send a photo of the top and bottom sides of the seat. Thanks.

gas mileage ...one other thing...when I first got the bike I started using 93 Octane fuel...and my mileage was 28-30....when I switched to regular 87 Octane it actually improved 33-38 mpg and the performance was good. These bikes run great on regular gas..I think using higher Octane gas is...

Michelin PR3's I now have just over 10,000 miles on my Michelin PR3's. They have been very good tires but on the expensive side. I should get another 1000 miles or so before I have to get new tires....not sure if I will go with PR3's again or go to a less costly but equally well wearing tire...

tires I now have 8500 miles on my Pilot Road 3's and they should go another 3-4000 miles. Great tire...good grip and long wear life. I will get another set when its time to replace them.

Thanks for the reply super googan. I think you are probably on the right track with the kill switch. I never use it...rather use my key. In attempts to start the bike when it turned over but wouldnt fire up...friends and I cycled the Kill switch a number of times. We also jiggled the clutch...
