Forgot to update this. Two years and 10k later. I turned my bike back to stock and traded it in on an ftr1200
Made $1500 by selling the add ons and got 4k in trade in, considering low milage 2013 Fz1s are selling for 3500 these days. I was stupid to not take the deal
I’m on the hunt for a all...
Not today. But a few weeks ago. Traded it in.
Only paid $4500 for it three years and 10k miles ago.
And I got $4k in trade in

I wouldn’t pay over 5k for any Fz1.
As they have no resale value. You can pick up a 2013ish low mileage Fz1 for 4K if your patient.
One just sold on the fb group for that.

This forum is 99% dead.
But just about any kit will do. They are individual. And they are expensive.
While you’re in there you might as well install a Ivan’s or holeshot performance jet kit.

Too bad it has a small tank, a little heavy, and not priced low enough for some one to choose this over the ktm equivalent.
But it’s a step in the correct direction for Honda. Hopefully the other jap makers follow this trend.

Considering it happens when it’s warmed up it wouldn’t be surprising. At that mileage you should have had two checks/adjustments done by now

Idk what motorcycle shops you frequent....
But there is a reason almost all off-road vehicles come with a oiled filter
My beta came with a paper and oiled from the factory. Use the paper if Turing into a super moto and oiled if using it for dirt.

As long as it’s jetted properly you won’t have an issue.
Gen1 also has engine coolant that runs through the carbs to prevent ice up. 38 was usually my cutoff for winter riding on my gen1. Only because I didn’t want to buy heated gear.

That would be the rotor. The magnets of the rotor come loose and contact the stator causing the carnage. So if you replace the rotor before it happens. That’s the only part that needs changed. Copper dawg has a nice YouTube vid to show how to check bearings while you have it apart as well...
