    Sexy Red 2007 FZ6

Great bike I put over 25,000 miles on a 06 FZ6. The only thing it needed was a new battery, chain, and tires. Fantastic commuter. I averaged 46 mpg and a really fun bike to ride. Nice hit on the top end. Good luck with your sale.

    Ride through the Redwoods

I live in So Cal but spent a week riding up north last month. Stayed a couple of days in Eureka. That Hwy 36 is amazing I also really loved Hwy 20 and much of the hwy 1. The road to the Lost Coast wasn't the best but different. Your a lucky dude to have all those roads on your door step...

    Recomended Fuel?

If your getting detonation on 87 grade in then you probably have bigger problems then the gas. I run 87 and have never had a single problem. Now if Yamaha USA said to run 91 then I would. But they don't at least not on my Cal bike. But If I was to upgrade the engine and end up with...

    Geezer MTB Ride 1

Get some MTB gloves even fingerless ones are fine. They are nice to have when you hit the gound which at some point we all do. Some even have a nice sweat wiping pad on the backside. Keep riding it's fun and a great workout.

    Yosh header on the way

When I got my full Yoshi header it came with a new link pipe. My bike already had a Yoshi slip on with a different Yoshi link pipe that worked with the stock headers. A good Muffler shop should be able to hook you up with a link pipe to work if yours doesn't. Or give Yoshi a call and see what...

Which handlebars for the stocker fz1 ??

Rizoma all the way. Not cheap but you have a opportunity to upgrade here so take it. Get the risers, bars, and bar ends. Looks so much better then the stock set up and works great as well. Just my 1 cent. Here is a link. Yamaha FZ1: dedicated product line created by rizoma

Planning to buy 2007 FZ1 tomorrow for $5800. Is this a good deal?

    Valve Adjustment

Before ordering shims you need to know what size shims to order. That means you need to check the valve clearances first. I gotta believe that at the first valve check you probably won't need to re-shim. Yamaha makes some of the best valves in the business. Just remember to record all your...

Very strange problem with my Gen II (Updated with pics and info)

I suspect the 17 tooth sprocket has the RPM in a lower range then the engine likes to run at or one that your not used to. Try downshifting when you feel the buck. One tooth on the front up or down is a pretty big change equal to like adding three teeth up or down in the back. The speedoDRD...

    Full Yoshi headers installed

That is exactly what I was after. Looked at some dyno charts and said this makes sence. Got a tip on Graves velocity stacks. $100 bucks adds 5 ponies direct bolt on best and easiest 5 hp ever gained said the master yamaha wrench. Need to check into that. I guess Graves Racing has some cool...

    Full Yoshi headers installed

No those parts are not involved in this project. I can take most anything apart it's the putting it back together that I am not so good at....... But really it's a pretty straight forward job. A little tricky keeping the exhaust gaskets in and getting the headers lined up to install in the...

    Full Yoshi headers installed

Thanks for the alchol tip I was worried about that. Didn't even start it yet. I also still have the 02 sensor so need to find out about that as well. I do have a PC3, Ignition Module, and the FCE installed. Mapped but with the new headers may take a look at the mapping.

    Full Yoshi headers installed

So installed my Yoshi headers today. The bike already had the Yoshi slip on so I just purchased the headers. Overall not to bad to install I took my time. Haven't rode it or even started. I still may play around with the angle of the slip on a bit it's a little close to the swingarm but doesn't...
