    Stolen FZ1 found !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So I peruse Craigslist for a few minutes almost every morning while drinking coffee and waking up. Yesterday, I see MY FZ1 that was stolen a year and a half ago (July 2013) on there for $1000 for-parts, no title, not running. The bike looks complete down to the cigarette lighter that I installed...

What about a 180 rear for mileage????

Just thinking that a 180 rear is 10mm narrower then the stock 190 so when mounted on the rim it would flatten the tread area a little and give more straight-line mileage, more tread on the road so it may flat-center slower. I know it wouldn't help handling if you're a knee dagger but may not be...

    FZ6 bars and eBay levers

I recently got a pair of these $59 ebay adjustable/foldable levers and a OEM FZ6 handlebar from RonAyersonline. The handlebars are great, fit me just right and almost look OEM :) The levers are nice and look good. I like the Titanium grey color, it's a little more unique then the typical...

    Flat and Satin paint finish

Just curious what everyone thinks of the new trend of painting bikes with a Flat or Satin finish paint instead of the typical gloss finish? Personally, I like it, but I'm getting ready to have my wifes bike painted and I am concerned about resale value. Would that limit the market for the...

Need a good Ninja 650 forum,,

Just got a great deal on a 2007 Ninja 650R for the wifey. I would love to find a 650R related forum. I KNOW it would never stack-up to this forum but anyone know of a decent place to get info and ask ?'s about the Ninja? Thanx, Phil

    Supertrapp slip-on

I had this muffler sitting around the shop and decided to put it to use. A simple bracket, a pipe clamp and it's on. Fit right on the Delkevic mid pipe. It's a little louder then I like, I could reduce the # of plates to reduce noise, but I think I'll put the Delkevic carbon can back on in a...

Craiglist expert (code expert) advice needed

I see a lot of very custom looking craglist adds, but when I post a for sale add, I use the basic form that craglist provides. It does OK but I'd like to know how to post more then the 4 pictures that their basic form provides, maybe even bigger ones. Anyone help!?

    Metzeler Interact z8's

I got 6018 miles out of the stock Pilot Road's. Just mounted a set of Metzeler Roadtec Z8 interact's last week, we'll see. So far they feel stable and planted. Better traction then the stockers in corners. I'm not a knee dragger (YET!) but my "chicken strip" is already narrower then the stock...

Interchangable wheels for the genII FZ1 ???

I have an 09 with those ugly green wheels, I think Yamaha calls them gold, but they ARE green, almost Army drab green!! I would like to change out the wheels cheaper then the cost of a custom set designed specifically for the FZ1. Anyone know if there are any wheels that are a direct fit for...

Non-FZ1 tech Q: Dual spark plugs

I have an old 2 stroke dirt bike (1977 IT250). It has a second spark plug hole in the head, but in the OEM parts breakdown it shows this hole plugged. I know a spark plug fits and doesn't have any clearance issue's because when I bought it, it had a second spark plug in that hole. I would like...

    Fuel Management and sensor feedback

Hi Guys, Am I missing something? It seems that fuel management modules such as the Power Commanders (PC and PCV) don't use (or bypass) the sensors installed on our bikes. The sensors are there to help the ECU adjust the EFI mixture on-the-fly for changes in climate, altitude, temp etc. etc...

    Spring rate of stock shock?

Hello, First post. New owner of a leftover 09 FZ1. Killer bike but I gotta "make it mine" cause stock sux (LOL). Anyway,,,, The stock rear shock feels a bit soft to me, I would like to try to just replace the spring for a stiffer one. Not looking for a race day setup, just a bit firmer...
