That's interesting. We have a HD dealer here in Colorado Springs that also sells BMW. In the fall, they told me that HD corporate was forcing them to sell only HD under the same roof and that they were going to have to move their BMW sales to another location as a result (I was looking at BMWs)...

There's a member here that has done over 100K miles on his '06 with no issues, so I wouldn't worry about the miles. I would definitely check the other things mentioned, however.

Welcome, Ted! Like you, I don't own an FZ1 yet, but I am here to research and like what I see so far. I've been looking at a lot of the same bikes as you and the FZ1 is currently at the top of my list. I'm a 'young' 34 and look forward to gleaning from your wisdom. I hope you end up with the FZ1!

If shipping is an option, I'd take a long look at this one: Yamaha 2008 FZ1 Since it's at a dealer, I'd be much more comfortable buying long distance. Just a thought.

I've been looking at that one as well (I live in Colorado Springs) though I'm not yet ready to buy. Based on the others in this area that have sold, I think the price is a bit high, but it's also been out there for a while and has had the price lowered at least once already, so I bet he's ready...

Could you share what mods you had done to your FZ1- especially how you lowered it? Looks meeeeaaan like that. Very nice! I'd miss it too...
