My 2006 now has an FCE fitted and yes, it does make a difference to the earlier engines. The slight snatch whilst picking up revs from slow speeds has gone and the throttle in now nice and sharp. M

Lowers I also have a 2006 with factory lowers, which make it look superb. One thing I would mention is that whilst fitting Ivan's FCE, the lowers extended the job by at least 2 hours with all the faffing around getting the plastics off and on again - very carefully!! :-)

I have had a Gen2 FZ1 for the past 2 1/2 years and love it to death. It has the power equivalent of a 2004 R1 engine but doesn't have the full-on race handling or riding position. I have ridden the FZ6 and although this handles something similar to the FZ1, it doesn't have any of the top end...

Well said all. I'm 48, going on 49 in the summer and still ride as if I was 17 years old! Well, maybe with a little more care from all the years of being carved up by drivers that can't see bikes. I love my Fazer and I love just being on the road. Long may we all enjoy our respective rides...
