It was late in the night when the old Aussie Sailor regained consciousness.
He found himself in agonizing pain in the hospital's ICU with tubes
up his nose and wires monitoring every function.
There was a gorgeous nurse hovering over him. She gave the Chief a deep look straight into his...
Jumping on the Hondapotamas early Wed. am for a ride back east. Never in been in that part of the states so I am really jazzed for this ride and hope to rack up 7-8k miles by the time I get back to Ca.
Our Lytehouse has been kind enough to offer her home for a nights stay on Thursday...
After reading posts from Deftone and seeing we lived less than an hour apart we took advantage of the warm (mid 50's) dry weather to meet up and ride today. I had the pleasure of introducing him to Mosquito Ridge Road, one heck of a great twisty road.
Here's Deftone (Mark)

While I installed my new shock I took some pictures of a few things that helped make the install a breeze. First off the I must mention the directions from Traxxion were clear and precise.
As you see the top bushings are of different length so I used the sharpie to label each to...
After being rained out a few weeks ago today was our make up track day. It was a perfect day with temps in the mid 70's a slight breeze and the smell of race gas.
A real nice turn out of bikes so I took a stroll to check out the hardware but some colors were a bit much before 9am...

Learned about Pacific Track Time from a post by jboat (thanks J). I signed up for this Monday. I have ridden that fun road course with my FZ6 a couple years ago but have been wanting to ride my 1 up there so now's the time.

Bought a 6x10 trailer to haul my work quad but wadda ya know- Frank seems to fit quite well :innocent:
I live in California, why the heck do I need to trailer a bike? Here's my driveway quite a few times last winter.
So to "test" the trailer I load up the bike and drive over...
Usually my FJR does long distance duty but it was time to see what it's like to ride the FZ1 a bit farther. Fortunately my riding bud Tom has a GS with room to haul some of my crap so I didn't have to pack any extra bags on my bike. Besides we only were gone a little over 2 days.
The fun part...

Damnation this has been a wet winter. Just up the hill from me(60 miles east) is Lake Tahoe. Snow totals at many of the Sierra ski resorts around Tahoe are closing in on 700 inches and it's snowing now :shaking head:
I can remember the resorts having close to 800 in 1982-83. I was still...
I was in the southern California last week on my FJR and came across this Apache at a small landing strip out in the desert. When I stopped to check it out a soldier came up to talk to me and to my surprise he was a Britt!
They were over here for desert training as our desert is much like...
Nothing but rain and snow up here in northern Ca so last week I packed up my FJR for a 4 day 1,670 mile ride down to Southern Ca desert with dry days and temps on the 70's once I got down there. Temps in the 40's with rain down and back but I love the tupperware of a sport tourer.
On the way I...
I posted this over on the 6 forum but though you may like to see it. Thought about riding my FZ1 but preferred the toasty FJR on a chilly day like today. Sure is nice to have a choice :)
