I have two stock mufflers, one gutted and one un-gutted. Both pipes are in near perfect shape. I acquired the gutted pipe with a bit of rash on it but I refinished it. The kicker: I only have one set of heat shields (silver). I want these gone so make a reasonable offer and come get them...
For sale: Dainese Zen Jacket Grey/Silver (size 58) and Track Pants (size 60). Just got a new 1-piece suit and don't need these anymore. $275 for the jacket. $175 for the pants. $400 for the set shipped in CONUS.
Rack comes completely off the bike when you want it to. Has five quick disconnects that you unlock with a special tool. It takes maybe 3 minutes to take the racks off. With the bags on, thought, the rack disconnects are completely inaccessible so it's totally secure. I'll take some pics of...
Why not go with the Givi PLX-R rack which can be removed very easily if you don't want to run the cases that day. That's what I have and I like them very much.
I was up at the Deals Gap store yesterday (where I ran into Krispy) and we saw a red Gen2 with Givi racks pull out. Just wondering if it was anyone from the board.
Welcome to the club! I've got an 09 cobalt and so far it has been nothing but fantastic. I did just change up the gearing a bit (going two down in the back to drop highway revs a bit) which made a noticeable difference in the bike to my tastes. Wouldn't call it a necessity by any means. I...
Plus one here on the burning wood smell. It really freaked me out the first few times I smelled it but now I just ignore it. I figure I have 5 years of YES so if my bike burns to the ground I'll just get a new one. ;)
I recently went with a 43 tooth rear sprocket which is down two teeth from the stock 45. So far I have seen a minimal increase in fuel mileage but the bike to me feels a bit more settled and the slight drop in RPM at interstate speeds makes it less "buzzy" and a more capable touring setup IMO...
I ordered my snazzy new Supersprox 43T rear sprocket today. Staying stock up front and going on with a DID 530VM X-ring gold chain. I'll post pics whenst I get it done.
I have ASV shorties and love them. I got them because I wanted adjustable reach to the clutch to compensate for my short fingers. They do also look really cool.
I am not a fan of the mirrored shields. They are too easy to scratch and then look like poop. I have a dark smoke and a clear regular visor for my RF-1000 and a Pinlock with clear and dark smoke inserts. The Pinlock is by far the most outstanding piece of gear I have ever purchased. Rode all...
Just pulled a set of Diablo Rosso's offa mine. Great tires, sticky as hell when they heat up. They do require a moderate ambient temp to really heat up. They were terrible over the winter but in the summer they were quite good.
I went to a 190/55 last summer in Pirelli Diablo Rossos. The turn in was quite a bit quicker than the 50 however I prefer the feel of the 50. The bike seems to be a bit more predictable and the lean has a more linear progression which suits my riding style. I went back on with 50's when I...
