It's deceptive because I changed the gearing on the FZ and not on the R1. The R1 has some very tall gearing but it spins up quicker than the FZ1 so I actually feel it is quicker. The FZ1 feels very punchy though and is always fun to ride!

Invest in a rubber mallet. One shot right between the eyes = total compliance! On a serious note good luck!

I think the only reason I can get by with the riding position on the R1 is because most of the time I am hanging off the side and not upright on it.

Well I got to take the R1 to the hill yesterday. The suspension is just to soft for my fat arse. I did get open it up on the ride home though and it loves triple digit sweepers! Feels very good there but it wants run run wide under throttle in the tight stuff... I can't wait to get the...

I recently took out the R1 and while I didn't ride aggressive I wasn't looking for mileage either. Anyway when I went to refuel I was shocked to see I pulled down 44MPG. I have never seen the mileage on the FZ1 even come close to that!
