Couple questions on my 01 FZ1

Even Mid Winter, I put the choke on fire it up and turn it off and use the throttle to control the engine speed until the fan kicks in. In 8 years my choke would not have done 10 minutes work. :)

I knew cars and bikes could do it...

Don't buy that boat and engines from that man, looks good but does not do the motors any good at all.

My FZ1 crash, film...well, right now

Sorry about your crash Berto but those gloves are very substandard. My track gloves rarely costs less than $550, some $800 and fortunately I can still wipe my own a*s Have a chat to some medical pros about racing gloves and I hope to be able to shake hands with you some day. As for the...

    F/S PRISTINE 2003 "BUMBLEBEE" 7K in NC

I love Aussie nurses, both my wife and her sister are nurses and when you spend as much time in hospital as we bikers you learn to love them even more. Aussie girls love Yanks and foreign men as Aussie blokes love their mates first, booze second and girls a distant third so if you have the...

    F/S PRISTINE 2003 "BUMBLEBEE" 7K in NC

Bad news Racerman, yes she has a younger very pretty sister who fortunately for you is married. My wife's maiden name is Kelly and is 5th generation Aussie country girl of Irish descent which means her family originally came over on convict ships. Her sister must have come from the Jewish...

    Cost of boots

CJ you obviously have never worked with Texan Oilmen, a) Safety not comfort WAS important then, b) Try getting a Texan out of boots. I went to a meeting of the board of Standard Oil to discuss some diving contracts and I was the only one not wearing $2000 Cowboy Boots with Saville Row Suits.

    Cost of boots

The pull on pair. I worked for Standard Oil out of Galveston in the sixties they were isssued to all American off shore Oil Workers and to my knowledge still are. They had steel capped toes and were pullon so that could be kicked off if you had to jump off the rig, they were my earliest bike...

    Cost of boots

Give any Oil Rig man from the Gulf of Texaco $10 and he will get you a brand new pair, that is an Oil Mans' work boot and has been for 50 years.

    Cost of boots

They you go CJ, just another Silver-tail boasting that he can afford designer Sandals, probably a bloody BMW rider cause of those stupid cylinders sticking out the sides the bike can't land on your feet if it falls over.

    Cost of boots

CJ It is possible to slide after a highside but generally speaking you have to be dead to do so. I must have had 1000+ low sides in my 24 years at the track and only 5 high sides all of which landed me in hospital and to back up CJ, I had no control as to how I landed after a high side...

    Cost of boots

Thanks CJ, I am aware that we Aussies frequently lack the common decencys of normal human beings and I do never mean to rubbish my fellow motorbicyclists. (I am actually quite chuffed that my memory goes back to 1951). :)

    Cost of boots

CJ, I appreciate that you took what I posted in the humorous manner it was meant, however if admins think it crosses the line please feel free to remove it, it was certainly not meant as any form of personal insult mate.

    Cost of boots

You are probably quite right, every time I have a head on with a fuel tanker, I always remember to put out my cigarette to avoid an explosion then quickly place my hands down my trousers and cover the family jewels so that the wife will have at least one method of identifying me, "small mercies"...

    Cost of boots

I get what you are saying about the prices Joe but if there is one country on Earth that has the ability to drive prices down to a reasonable level is the USA, you have the biggest bargaining power in the world as you are the greatest consumers in the world, use it. A pair of boots for me in...

    Cost of boots

This is why you don't skimp on quality boots, XRay was taken with leg inside the boot and the surgeon said unequivocably, that had I not had on the quality boots I did NO FUVKING LEG. [/IMG] I was hit by the chrome bumper bar of a 1977 Datsun that picked me and my bike up and threw us over...
