My bike gets the same loping idle but only on hot starts. Ride the bike on a warm day, stop, restart bike after a few minutes and I get that same lope. I've seen some other people mention the same thing. I suspect it's either a heat soaked sensor or similar to vapor lock on a carburetor...

I've also blown the whistle on the 06-07 frame issues in the past and just met with a bunch of hostility. I thought it was common knowledge but from reading the posts in this thread apparently its not.

Oil pressure and oil supply to the bearings , cams and so on will be better @ 1100-1300 rpm. Yamaha has the idle spec in the manual for a reason. As already mentioned transition from close to open throttle will also be much smoother. Smooth is good in the twisty stuff. Good oil...

Sounds a bit funny near the end when you are revving it but hard to really say. The sound quality is not perfect and I don't have the best speakers on my computer.

Maybe the bearing behind the stator/rotor, but I'm just guessing. Sorry I can't offer more help.

First , Take a look at the generator / stator . Sometimes the magnets come loose. Just to rule that out as a possible issue. Did you replace the bearing ?? part number 93306-20230-00. I'd suspect that You also mentioned you replaced the "starter gear set" but did you also replace...

Check the insurance rates for the Ninja compared to the FZ1. That made my decision easy :) they wanted over twice as much for the Ninja ! I've heard other people mention the same thing . The Ninja name has many insurers boosting rates.. Personally I think Kawasaki made a HUGE mistake...

Just a note about aftermarket adjustable clutch levers........ if adjusted to close to the bars they often don't have enough stroke to fully disengage the clutch. I found that I could only use the 2 farthest adjustments with both CRG and some cheap ones, if I wanted correct...
