    tail of the dragon

Are they having a bunch of MC accidents around the Gap and that's why they're 'tightening up' or is this just revenue generation.....just wondering.

    RZ350 is Home! Restoration Begins

I've used nothing but Yamaha injector oil. Used to buy it by the case. That's what I'll be refreshing in mine when the time comes.

    RZ350 is Home! Restoration Begins

Way to go!!! Looking forward to seeing what needs to be done to get it up and running. I'll be starting on mine after I get my CBR600 running again.

What did you do to your FZ today?

Here it is - http://www.998cc.org/forum/116869-post12.html That's where I found it - I missed the sale, but used the link later in that thread and bought one. While I was exploring on their site, I found teh helmet lock - ordered that as well.

    Gas milage

I have a 09 FZ1 that's still pretty new - less than 500miles. I've gotten 37.5mpg to date (2 fillups), course I'm still in the breakin period so its getting romped only up to 6000rpm. Mine runs fine on reg - 87. I'll be paying attention when its hotter this summer so see if I hear it...

What did you do to your FZ today?

It came from Webike in Japan - http://www.998cc.org/forum/116869-post12.html It is the one that's on the new Fazer - its a Yam part. All I need to do to make it perfect, is locate a locksmith that can key the helmet lock to my ignition key. Its no big deal if I have to carry 2 keys...

What did you do to your FZ today?

Got to go for a nice ride and enjoy using my last two mods - helmet lock and a nice rear bag that mounts to the pillion and makes it looks like its mounted to the bike - Had a nice ride today and for once, I didn't have to stuff everything in my pockets or jacket. Can change glasses...

    Disc / rotor bolts

My pipes cost $350 back in '96 when I replaced a set of Allspeed pipes I wasn't that happy with. My current set are SPEC II pipes which are not welded stampings. They have better ground clearance, are hydroformed, have no seams and use headers that are made from tubing. I hope I don't come...

    Disc / rotor bolts

I had a hard time finding it too - open the ad listed first, go all the way to the bottom. You'll see "See what other People ear Watching" - the pipes he mentioned are the 2nd item pictured from the left....

What did you do to your FZ today?

Thanks Hail for detailing the differences, I didn't look at these too much, I saw many others on the other forum that were using the SMH10 so that's the one I bought. I pretty much ride alone, so I haven't used the rider to rider feature. I use mine with my phone - I play music thru the phone...

Flo Stainless Steel Reusable Oil Filter Review

If I had a cleaning or wash cabinet like we had at the dealership, I'd be really interested in one. Without an easy, thorough way to clean the element, the concept seems to lose a lot of its appeal.

    Helmet holder / lock

Tell me what is Not expensive about owning a sport bike, lol! For me it was a no brainer - between my helmet and Sena headset I have about $700 invested and it's such a PIA to lug the helmet every time I stop. I will not be worrying about it anymore. If you have contacts in Japan...

    Helmet holder / lock

Yamaha Helmet Hanger Set YAMAHA : HelmetHangerSet [Q5KYSK056E03] I was buying a rear bag here and took a look to see what else they offered when I found the Yamaha helmet lock! I received it today and it is the Yamaha part, 4R8-21308-01, which doesn't seem to exist on the Yamaha Parts House...

    Disc / rotor bolts

I never had any prob with it even with a high compression head and at this point I weighed ~135lbs - was a scrawny graduate student. You had to kick the dickens out of it and always kick it all the way through! The guy I sold it to never could master that - I replaced the internal kick start...

Does your FZ1 help your bad back?

I have a CBR600F3 as well as the FZ1 and for me, the noticeable diff is with my wrists - the fwd position of the 600 puts much more weight on my wrists, it takes a few days of riding before my wrists are not sore at the start of s day of riding. It doesn't help that I badly broke my right...

    Disc / rotor bolts

+1 Back when I was wrenching, you couldn't work without one of those! The drivers then were all made by Vessel. The one I have is old - all I kept of my special tools was this impact driver, my TDC set, buzz box and the case splitter for the bike I had at that time (Yamaha 360 RT2).

    Disc / rotor bolts

My dumb, I said caliper but meant rotor bolts.... You provided just what I needed, there's a 7 pc Craftsman set that includes a T40 and I'll be ordering it today. Thanks for the help! I hope I don't run into any trouble - plans require taking the rotors off more than once.

    Disc / rotor bolts

Guess I'd just not noticed that these were Torx headed bolts until you mentioned it. I can't find a size listed either. I have a set of R1 discs to go along with the 6 pot calipers, so I need to get the right sized Torx since I'll be changing them. Can you tell me what size these caliper...
