    What to do

even a pcIII or PCV won't cure the popping. Technically the popping was always there, you just couldn't hear it with all the stock exhaust. The ais system introduces fresh air into the exhaust so that fuel that didn't get burned in the cylinder can be burned off and make the exhaust cleaner...

    magnetic drain plug

If you need a new plug anyway it couldn't hurt. I would mainly use them after major engine work, such as a rebuild where the cylinders were honed or something that would put more than normal metal in the engine case. Under normal engine wear you shouldn't need them, if your engine is putting...

    magnetic drain plug

Most, steel and aluminum, have a strong magnet pressed into the end of the plug.

    magnetic drain plug

Yeah, you either use steel and run the risk of stripping the threads out of your pan or is aluminum and risk stripping the bolt or easily rounding off the head. Just depends on the type of headache you want.

    I may have broke something

My 08 manual says .98-1.38. Don't have to be to technical. just about 1 1/4 of slack while the bike is on the center stand. http://schleppy.net/fz1/FZ1-Drive-Chain.jpg

Free FE Kit, you provide the labor.

Be hard to find a reflector to cover all the holes, might try some DOT reflective tape, could cut it to any shape and just stick it on the end. If you want to try it i have some i can stick in an envelope and mail to you for free, or you can pick it up at any parts house, walmart may have some...

    Power commander

What mods are on the bike? Would get the pc5 that's made for the bike if it was me. Even if it meant waiting. Hard to find used ones and when you do they aren't much cheaper than new.

    Lower Fairings Install

Mine went on pretty smoothly. I built a bracket out of thick steel to move my sliders and not have to cut anything. Prolly would bend if I dropped it on the road. On the list of things to do this year. I used my proton flush mount signals, the factory ones are supposed to be mounted through the...

    O2 sensor connector

Sounds like your problem is in the map your running now. Mine with the eliminator is rich at start up in cold weather but when the engine warms up it's right where it needs to be. last ride got 40 mpg and it doesn't lack power. All it's going to do is lean out the mixture, instead of using all...

    Gen II Handlebars

I will check the bar i took off my bike when i put the conversion kit on. Don't like sending stuff out that's messed up, but it should be ok. Put them in the box my new one came in. Do you just need the bar, or the bar and stock riser?

    2009 FZ-1 F/S. 1917 miles! With upgrades. $7500

Always wondered. Does "not my kind of bike" mean it scared the crap outta me and i'm not getting back on it? Anyway, priced to high for a used bike, even with the upgrades and low miles. IMO.

Help, Wiring a Power outlet an 01 FZ1

Just wired mine directly to the battery with some decent wire. Mainly use it to charge my phone or cameras and can't really do that going down the road and rather not have to leave the bike idling while my phone is charging. Plus since there is good wire going directly to the battery i can plug...

Cool Air Induction for an FZ1

I cut the plastic from in front of my filter, but with the way the frame is around the airbox, and there is plastic covering the underside between it and the motor , don't know how it would work. the best thing you can do is arrange the wires going through the holes in the frame and keep them...

    K&N Oil Filters

Thought the 303 was for gen 1 fz's and the 204 is for 2nd gen. factory replacement should have been the kn 204. wouldn't take it back to where it got serviced last. From the specs it should work and the larger filter may be better but they should have asked you if they wasn't putting on the...
