If a slipon is your only mod you should be fine without a turner. With the exup, just remove the cables, put the servo back together and it will be fine. No harm letting the servo motor run. May have some popping on decel, there are some pretty easy fixes for that in resent post, just look for...

    Arrow headers are INSTALLED!

Arrow headers are in! It's all about making your bike your own. Personally I like it when people step out of norm and do something different. Can't wait for the results. Sent from my BlackBerry 9860 using Tapatalk

Found some information that the r1 shifter will work on 1st generation bikes but not 2nd generation. May be an option for our gen 1 riders. Sorry Joe. Sent from my BlackBerry 9860 using Tapatalk

Can't find anything else, just for a cheap fix you could figure out how much you need to add and see if a shop can cut it and weld in another piece to lengthen the original. Might find a cheap used one on ebay just to try this with.

What was drawing me to the lightech rearsets was that the shifter linkage goes through where the factory one goes, makes for a clean looking installation. The driven rearsets has them beat when it comes to features though. Hard choices to make. Why i thought this thread would be good to discuss...

Yeah, looks to be a good bit longer, just seems to be priced to high for such a simple part. At 132 for the hugger and 95 for the chain guard. But that's how it goes.

    Lost Compression

That's why I said I would check the timing, may be opening the valves up before the pressure gets high enough. And have seen on car engines if the timing is off they can be hard to start and seems like the starter is working harder than usual. May not be it, but its just where I would start...

    new 2007 fz1 owner

That's the way I am, always looking for something else to do to my bike. Like working on it almost as much as riding it. Thinking about looking for a project bike just to have something to wrench on. Lol, joe I done my block off plates in my living room last winter. Didn't have my shop built at...

Usually when I go on a group ride around here 85% of the bikes are harleys. Guys with all their harley gear, think that shirt will be my new riding shirt. Sent from my BlackBerry 9860 using Tapatalk

    WTB: Gen II Dogbone/Arm (#2D1-2217M-00-00)

That should be the adjustable link, right? All i saw for the genII on his site. If so couldn't you adjust the link you have back to stock height? Plus you need to find out if the kickstand has been cut or if it's an aftermarket shorter stand. If you go back to stock height you may risk the bike...
