Ok - here is the map for this EPIC ride!
Friday starting from Houston, to Lockhart for the best BBQ in Texas, on to Willow City Loop and back to Canyon Lake (Dinner at Startzville Cafe).
Breakfast in Boerne on Saturday a.m. then to the Leakey and a trip around the sisters. Lodge in Camp...
BTW. I rode with it on my recent 2000+ mile trip. I have a taller and wider screen already as well. I also tested without this 'lip'.
With the lip, the air was much smoother hitting my helmet. Without it there was much more disruption buffeting me around and even at my wrists and chest.
So I...
2065 miles in the end. I lost one day to that bad storm that blew through Little Rock. Also ended up going through Dallas to visit a friend, so no scenic route through East Texas. That will have to be next year!
Have to go to the Ozarks if you haven't been!
With my new Fall Ozarks ride done today - My thoughts are on Pyro's Twisted Texas Hill Country Tour next year. Been talking with some others about joining us. Lets coordinate again with other riders. I'll be thinking of modifications to the plans and everyone's opinions would be appreciated...
Plexus. I'll look it up. This is for my visor. It's a Bell 'transitions' visor so I'm trying to be really careful so I don't mess it up. Rode yesterday and the mist from the road was a pain.
I did the right thing and turned it over to MU for analysis - new carb seats/needles, seals, o-rings etc, plugs.. should be nicely purring (without extra smoke and sputtering) when they get done.
Got my Laminar Lip in the mail and will install early next week for a long road trip.
Sorry to hear that Carl. I can imagine the let-down.... Well, maybe there was divine intervention and a reason you didn't get there. Who knows? But planning for next year is the spirit! I know you will do the Mile in the future.
Sucks though... :(
That too - I know I fired mine up recently after sitting for a while, and it sounded like I was missing one complete cylinder... but it didn't work its way out until I ran it at high-rpm for a while.
If the points wore down on the key, it would do that since it moving the pins as much... remaking the key MIGHT help, but I would think that would depend on the problem.
Makes me want to make a master key I never use... for later....
What do you mean 'low' rpm? For a normal start - I need to go to about 2500 or so RPM. 4-5 for a a decent launch.
I have Ivan's and also a GYTR can - probably similar.
at about 4500 or so it really jumps up in power during a strong launch, which is where the kit really makes the difference.
